What is a BNOR Practical exam at the CBr

The Bureau Nader Onderzoek Rijvaardigheid (BNOR exam for short) is designed for students who have failed the practical exam at CBR more than 4 times within 5 years.

What makes BNOR exam so special?

The BNOR exam takes a total of 70 minutes while your normal practical exam takes about 35 minutes. This does not mean that you have to drive 70 minutes. You still drive about 35 minutes but if you need extra time for yourself then you can use that up to 70 minutes. So you may then also ask for extra time during the exam drive to go for a smoke, for example. Or you may put the car on the side of the road for a while to recover.

BNOR  exam is not easier than regular exam. You still have to do the same parts and score satisfactorily. In the BNOR, your examiner is called driving test advisor. He can deal well with difficult situations such as students who have a lot of tension or are nervous. In the preliminary interview, he tries to calm your good feeling and give better idea why your previous exam failed. So that you can perform better now.

What if I fail BNOR exam again?

If you fail 5th time for your practical exam, you also have to take the following exams as further BNOR. So basically once you have started further investigation you will keep doing it until you pass.

What are the costs?
